Quality control is carefully monitored and managed throughout all phases of production and preparation. This ensures Shivam meets the quality expectations of our customers. The quality of the saleable product coal is monitored by regular sampling and analysis; and an on-line ash analyser located on the conveyor to the product coal stockpile.
Product coal despatched in each train is sampled and analysed during discharge at the port of Newcastle. During ship-loading operations, the coal is sampled and analysed by an independent and certified superintending company. Stringent coal quality controls ensure that no extraneous matter contaminates the customer's cargo and that the coal delivered meets specified quality requirements.
